A person was overwhelmed to dying by a mob after an alleged sacrilege try on the Golden Temple in Amritsar, the police mentioned on Saturday.
In response to stories, the person had jumped over the railing contained in the Golden Temple through the every day night prayer and tried to the touch the sword stored in entrance of the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy guide of the Sikhs. He was stopped and killed by these current.
“This night throughout prayers, a person jumped the fence and entered the enclosed space. The congregation was providing prayers and bowing down,” Parminder Singh Bhandal, the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Amritsar, mentioned.
“The person, about 20 to 25 years of age who had a yellow material tied on his head jumped the fence… the folks inside held him and escorted him out to the hall the place there was a violent altercation and he died,” he mentioned.
“He was alone. All particulars will likely be revealed as there are plenty of CCTV cameras within the space and our groups are alert, sifting by way of footage. Postmortem will likely be carried out tomorrow. We’ll confirm the place he was from,” Mr Bhandal added.
